Kathina  Ceremony
Sunday, October 18, 2020
Wat  Thai  Washington, D.C.

The Kathina Ceremony for monks simply means “joining hands for making robes.” For laypeople, it means “offering robes to monks who  have  observed  the three months  Rains Retreat at a certain temple.” The Kathina Ceremony must be held within one month of the ending of the Rains Retreat. For the benefit of the general public, Wat Thai Washington, D.C., provides the opportunity for you to join this ceremony as a part of the annual celebration for the cultivation of meritorious deeds.

For this year, the ceremony will be faithfully presented to the resident monks of Wat Thai Washington, D.C.  by Thai House Restaurant and family together with the laypeople from Washington, D.C.,  and neighboring states.
